Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about HexHire and finding Elixir jobs.
HexHire is a specialized job aggregation platform focused exclusively on Elixir,
Phoenix, and LiveView positions. We collect job listings from across the web—including
company career pages, job boards, and developer communities—and present them in one
centralized, easy-to-browse location. Our goal is to make finding Elixir opportunities
as simple as possible for developers in the ecosystem.
Yes, HexHire is completely free for job seekers. You can browse all job listings,
search by keywords, filter by location or job type, and subscribe to our newsletter
without paying anything. We believe access to job opportunities should never be
gatekept behind a paywall.
We use automated systems to aggregate job listings from multiple sources across the
internet. This includes scraping company career pages, monitoring job boards, and
pulling from developer community forums. Each listing is processed to extract relevant
details like job title, company, location, and requirements. We also perform
deduplication to ensure you don't see the same job posted multiple times.
Jobs are updated multiple times throughout the day. Our automated pipelines run
continuously to fetch new listings and update existing ones. This means you'll
always have access to fresh opportunities. We also remove expired or filled positions
to keep the listings relevant and actionable.
Unlike general-purpose job boards where Elixir jobs are buried among thousands of
unrelated listings, HexHire is built specifically for the Elixir ecosystem. Every
job you see is relevant. We understand the technology stack—Elixir, Phoenix, LiveView,
Ecto, OTP—and categorize jobs accordingly. Plus, we aggregate from sources that
generic job boards often miss, like Elixir-specific forums and community spaces.
Currently, HexHire focuses on aggregating jobs from existing sources. If you're a
company looking to hire Elixir developers, posting your job on platforms we monitor
will get it included automatically. For direct job posting inquiries or partnership
opportunities, please contact us at hello@hexhire.io.
You can subscribe to our newsletter to receive curated Elixir job opportunities
directly in your inbox. Look for the subscription form on our homepage. We send
regular updates featuring new and notable positions. You can unsubscribe at any
time using the link in each email.
HexHire covers the entire Elixir ecosystem, including: Elixir (the programming
language), Phoenix (web framework), LiveView (real-time UI), Ecto (database toolkit),
OTP (Open Telecom Platform for concurrent applications), Nerves (IoT/embedded systems),
and related technologies. Whether you're looking for backend, full-stack, or specialized
roles, you'll find relevant opportunities here.
Yes! Many Elixir positions are remote-friendly. The Elixir community has a strong
culture of remote work, and a significant portion of the jobs on HexHire offer
remote options. You can filter job listings to find remote-only or hybrid positions
that match your preferences.
For questions, feedback, or partnership inquiries, you can reach us at hello@hexhire.io.
We love hearing from the community and are always looking to improve the platform
based on your suggestions.
