FAQ
Common questions, straight answers.
HexHire is the single place for remote Elixir jobs. I pull listings from
career pages, job boards, and community sources across the web, and companies
can also post jobs directly. Every listing is verified to be fully remote, no
hybrid stuff.
No office visits, ever. I exclude hybrid roles and anything that says "remote"
but expects you near an office. Some jobs do have region requirements
(like "Remote - US only"), and those are clearly labeled in the filters.
Automated scrapers pull from company career pages, job boards, and developer
forums. Each listing goes through AI classification to verify it's actually
remote and Elixir-related. Duplicates get caught and merged so the same job
doesn't show up twice.
Multiple times a day. Pipelines run continuously. Expired or filled
positions get removed so you're not looking at dead listings.
It's Elixir-only and remote-only. On a generic board, Elixir jobs are buried
under thousands of React and Java listings. Here, every job is relevant. I also
pull from places other boards miss, like Elixir Forum, community Slack channels,
and niche sources.
Yes. Head to
Post a Job
and you can get your listing up in minutes. There's a free
tier and a
featured option
for more visibility.
Jobs from platforms I already monitor also get picked up automatically.
You get access to a global pool of engineers who know how to build reliable
systems. Elixir teams tend to be small and productive. The language and Phoenix
let a few people do the work of a much larger team. Remote means you're not
limited to whoever lives near your office.
There's a subscribe form on the homepage. You'll get a weekly email with new
positions. Unsubscribe link is in every email.
Elixir, Phoenix, LiveView, Ecto, OTP, and Nerves. Backend roles, full-stack
roles, and anything else in the Elixir ecosystem.
Every job here is remote, but some have region requirements for tax or timezone
reasons. You can filter by "Remote - US", "Remote - EU", or "Remote - Worldwide".
Worldwide means no restrictions at all.
