Qualifications or experience required:
- Experience developing with Elixir and the Phoenix framework
- Strong knowledge of backend technologies (Elixir, Phoenix, PostgreSQL, REST APIs)
- Experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TailwindCSS, HEEx, LiveView)
- Confident in using Git, CI/CD and basic DevOps workflows
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and readable code
- Awareness of accessibility and performance best practices
- Enjoy working in a collaborative, cross-functional team
- Willingness to contribute to software architecture and long-term project decisions
- Openness to occasional, compensated on-call duty
- Nice to have: experience with PHP, Laravel, Statamic, Terraform, Docker, or Azure
What the successful job applicant will be working on:
- Developing and continually improving a large web project using Elixir and Phoenix
- Implementing server-side features and detailed user interfaces
- Building and working with APIs and other integrations
- Collaborating closely with developers, designers, and project stakeholders
- Maintaining and updating existing systems to ensure they remain secure and up to date
