Back End Developer (Elixir)

We’re a startup on a mission to scale quickly to Series A 🚀

We’re looking for an experienced Elixir Back end developer with strong ownership and a track record of delivering high-performance, production-grade systems end-to-end. You’ll work closely with a small, fast-moving team to design and implement scalable backend services.

Tasks
💪🏻 What You’ll Own:

Design, implement, and maintain Elixir-based APIs, workers, and background jobs

Build reliable and high-performance systems using OTP, Phoenix, and Ecto

Integrate with internal and external services, queues, and event-driven pipelines

Collaborate across product, frontend, and DevOps teams

Own delivery — from architecture and coding to deployment and monitoring

Requirements
💼 Must-Have Qualifications

5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 2 years in Elixir

Strong knowledge of OTP, Ecto, and Phoenix frameworks

Proven experience building high-performance systems

Solid experience with PostgreSQL and SQL performance tuning

Familiarity with AWS services and serverless environments (e.g., Lambda)

Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently

Experience in the FinTech industry

Experience with Node.js (Express, AWS Lambda)
