Role Overview
We’re looking for a Backend Engineer (Elixir) with around 1 year of experience who enjoys building robust, fault-tolerant systems and cares deeply about performance, data integrity, and clarity.
You’ll work on core backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power production-grade applications.
Remote role — open to candidates based in India only

What You’ll Do
Build and maintain reliable backend services in Elixir
Design and implement high-performance APIs
Work with concurrent and asynchronous workloads
Build fault-tolerant systems using OTP principles
Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
Debug production issues and improve system reliability
Collaborate closely on architecture and system design decisions

Must-Have Skills
1+ year of hands-on Elixir experience
Strong understanding of functional programming concepts
Solid computer science fundamentals
Data structures & algorithms
Time and space complexity
Understanding of concurrency and parallelism
Experience building REST APIs
Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
Familiarity with Git and collaborative development

Elixir / BEAM Knowledge (Core)
Processes, message passing
Supervision trees (basic understanding)
Fault tolerance and “let it crash” philosophy
Pattern matching and immutability
GenServer (conceptual or practical use)
Experience with Phoenix

Nice to Have

Background jobs / async processing
Basic performance tuning and profiling
Writing tests (ExUnit)
Experience with distributed systems concepts
Exposure to observability (logs, metrics, tracing)
