Lead Elixir Engineer (m/f)

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Lead Elixir Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of a high-performance financial platform for international fintech client. This is an ongoing project – development of a brand-new, high-performance financial platform designed with a modern, cloud-native, microservices architecture. This is an opportunity to apply Elixir expertise in a fintech setting and to play a key role in shaping a product with real business impact. What You’ll Be Doing Design and implement scalable, distributed microservices in Elixir Work closely with architects and business analysts to translate requirements into solutions Drive the feature implementation Ensure high availability, resilience, and performance across the system Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team Contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction of the platform What we are looking for in a Lead Elixir Engineer is: 7+ years of professional software development experience 3+ years of hands-on Elixir development Proven experience in distributed systems, concurrency, and high-availability platforms Experience with Elixir Phoenix Framework Familiarity with Kafka and message-driven architectures Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with architects, BAs, and stakeholders Initiative and ability to resolve complex and ambiguous problems Comfortable working in a remote, international team Capability to drive the feature implementation It would be cool if you also have, but it’s not necessary: Experience with other technologies (Java, C++ , Erlang, Scala) Experience with Queue technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ) Experience with NoSQL technology Experience with Erlang distributed databases A Little Bit About Us Pontis Technology is a Croatian IT service company with offices in Croatia, Germany, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
