Sr. Software Engineer, Delivery Platform

Description:

• Serve Robotics is focused on reimagining urban delivery through its sidewalk robot, aiming to alleviate street congestion and enhance delivery accessibility for local businesses.
• The company operates in major cities including Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta, and Chicago, providing commercial delivery services.
• As a Senior Software Engineer on the Delivery Platform team, you will design and build scalable and robust systems for the Delivery and Fleet Management platforms.
• Your primary responsibilities will include coding, designing, and reviewing Elixir code, contributing to critical infrastructure for the delivery robot fleet.
• You will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure systems meet the demands of scale and innovation in logistics.
• Key responsibilities include architecting and developing distributed systems, contributing to platform reliability, optimizing performance, collaborating cross-functionally, and promoting engineering best practices.

Requirements:

• You must have 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
• You should have at least 2+ years of experience with Elixir or Erlang, particularly in building scalable, distributed systems.
• A solid understanding of concurrency, fault tolerance, and event-driven architectures is required.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Experience working on cross-functional teams in agile environments is necessary.
• You must be a clear communicator, comfortable discussing both technical and product-related topics.
• A strong interest in crafting well-designed, production-grade systems and tools is essential.
• You should have a passion for backend development, systems thinking, and performance optimization.
