We pulled every remote Elixir job posted on HexHire in the last 30 days, deduplicated them at the company and title level, and grouped by employer. 40 unique roles across 40 companies. Below is what we found: who is hiring, what they pay, where they hire, and what tech they run.
The Recognizable Names
Adobe posted a Senior Backend Engineer role at $139,000 to $257,550. The listing mentions Elixir alongside PostgreSQL and MySQL, which is notable for a company that size (31,000+ employees). No remote region was specified, so it's likely US-based.
Supabase has an opening for a Support Tooling engineer covering APAC and Americas, listed as worldwide remote. The stack is Elixir, JavaScript, and TypeScript. No salary was published. Supabase is one of the few companies on this list hiring globally with no location restrictions.
Whatnot, the live shopping platform (501-1,000 employees), posted a Software Engineer, CIAM role focused on authentication and authorization. Stack includes Elixir, Python, Kubernetes, and Terraform. US remote only, no salary disclosed.

Adobe's $257K ceiling remains the highest single figure. The US senior range clusters around $115K-$175K, consistent with what we found in the broader salary report. Bramble is notable for offering $80K-$120K on a worldwide remote basis, making it one of the better-paying options for candidates outside the US. Tiltify's junior role at $80K-$110K remains one of the few entry-level Elixir listings with published pay.
Where They Hire
About 17 of the 40 listings target US-based candidates. 10 are worldwide with no location restrictions. The rest are split across the EU (4), Germany (3), South America (4), and the UK (1). One company, PDQ, hires in both the US and EU.
If you're outside the US, these companies hire globally: Supabase, Remote, Driftrock, LEOTechnologies, Switch Software, DevGrid, BairesDev, qiibee, naymspace, and Bramble.

What Stands Out
- Adobe posting an Elixir role is still the biggest signal. When a company that large adopts the language, it validates the ecosystem for hiring managers at smaller companies who are still debating the talent pool risk.
- 65% of employers still hide salary. The ones that don't get more attention in articles like this one, in search results, and from candidates. If you're hiring, putting a number in the listing is free marketing.
- AI is entering the Elixir job market. Rockcruit wants LLM and agentic tool experience, GridPoint lists GitHub Copilot and Claude as stack items, and LEOTechnologies mentions HuggingFace. Expect more of this.
- Global hiring is real. A quarter of all listings are open worldwide with no location restrictions. The Elixir community has always been distributed, and the job postings reflect that.
